Rhodesian SAS Operations.

The recent book by Hannes Wessels with Andre Scheppers.

An interesting read with many of the various hair raising operations carried out by the RhSAS. A must for any wargamer interested in special forces operations.

From this group of figures you can create the various periods and scenarios of Rhodesian SAS operations  in Rhodesian camouflage. Covert operations,  Camp attacks, Ambushing, Vehicle columns, Demolition, Fire Force, Camp Attacks, Large External Operations.

In this case these figures are painted in Rhodesian Camouflage for external operations such as camp attacks, bridge blowing,  Large camp attacks, vehicle columns, in Mozambique.

Uniform and combat cap – base colour Humbrol 83 with a touch of 103.

Brown pattern – humbrol 29

Green pattern overlay – Humbrol 86 with a touch of 76

Bottle cap – humbrol 76 or 86

Face flesh but over brushed with black 33 and brown 29. ‘Black is beautiful’ face cammo.

Well they have arrived and I am expecting a bag of 28mm Underfire Miniatures 28mm RhSAS figures. Also x4 figures of pseudo operators Selous Scouts.

We have x4 figures RhSAS in ambush positions. AK prone, FN prone, RPD prone in ambush and an RPG7 operator kneeling in ambush.

28mm vehicles 2.5 Unimogs can be had from David Freemantle in Australia or Company B in America. I will do a post on those vehicles but there is other info on this blog concerning Selous Scouts mobile column raids and availability of vehicles in 20mm and 28mm..
