British South Africa Police service companies in WWI EA, PEA and a 7 – 12 pdr gun crew . They can also double for West India Regiment as there are Wolseley helmets with African faces. Also many settler units which were called up in Nyasaland, Kenya and Northern Rhodesia wore this kit. The BSAP Native Police figures can also be used for other colonial forces.

BSAP – British South Africa Police

Service Company

The BSAP provided two service companies to serve on the Northern Rhodesian border during the WWI East African Campaign.

These figures come with Wolseley Helmeted heads for Europeans and Africans. The African Wolseley helmeted heads are for the West India Regiment which wore the same uniform as the British troops of the early period in WWI. Thus, these figures give you a second regiment.

The BSAP figures can also be used for settler volunteer units called up during WWI in the East African Campaign. These included Kenya, Nyasaland and Northern Rhodesia.

BSAP – British South Africa Police

Gun Crew

The early part of the war the BSAP provided mountain guns such as the 12 ½ pdr and 7 pdrs. The 7 pdr of the Battle of Saisi fame was known as ‘May Jackson’ and manned by a European and African gun crew. The African gun crew members were members of the BSAP Native Police and manned their gun bravely at the Battle of Saisi.

BSAP 3D PRINTED 20MM POLICE VEHICLES

Standard

BSAP (British South Africa Police) 3D Printed Police vehicles by David Michael Freemantle, which are now more detailed and accurate with his new printing machines.

One model is of a Police Kudet based on the Kudu series of protected vehicles which carried police during incidents in the cities, towns and townships.

The other vehicle is the standard Land Rover Mine Protected vehicle but it was the cab which was mainly protected with an armoured tray under the driver and passenger, a roll bar system and conveyor belting round the back of the cab. It was difficult to mine proof the rear cargo tray so it was not advisable to sit in that area if a rear wheel detonated a mine.
