This painting I did for Trevor ‘Tonks’ Jones OC A Coy 1RAR in 1980. ‘Tonks’ was my company commander after Major Ron Merillier BCR. The painting depicts a typical RAR foot patrol of that period. The painting was presented back to me by the family after ‘Tonks’ passed away. I have cleaned it up and done a bit of preservation work on it, so it is looking brand new.

Hi Pete This was painted back in 1980 and painted in between patrols etc etc on Beer Hall Hill, Entumbane.
